What's Next?

Here's a look into 2025 and the trips we have started planning. We invite everyone to join us. It does not matter your experience or physical conditioning. There is a place on the trail for everyone. 

January: We'll be staying local in January and getting some miles in in the Lone Star Hiking Trail. This is a 129 mile long trail with many smaller trails broken out so you can do the full 129, or you can do 2 or 3 miles at a time. February: We'll take a quick trip up to Navada at the end of February to get some elevation conditioning in (preparing for Bataan Death March). The trail is around 2,500ft in elevation, which is about 2,500ft more than our hometown on Conroe Texas. The River Mountains Loop is a 35 mile loop and should be done easily by breaking it up into 2 short day hikes and an overnight camp.

March: Hopefully, Winter is behind us and the weather will start cooperating. On March 22nd, we'll fly out to White Sands Missel Range  for the 2025 Bataan Memorial Death March. This is a cross between a hike, a marathon, a reward, and a punishment. It's a full 26.2 mile marathon, with a minimum of 35lbs on your back. You can also do the 'lite' which is where you don't have to carry any weight.  In 2024 we did the Heavy division (carrying +35lbs in your pack) and it was a blast. April: A trip to Wyoming to hike in the Grand Teton! We haven't nailed down the route yet, but will start here:  Teton Crest Trail, Wyoming - 317 Reviews, Map | AllTrails . We'd like to put together something closer to 50 miles, and spend 3 or 4 days out on the trail but this will require putting several unconnected hikes together. We'd really like to have a group for this (all all) adventure so take a look at your calendar and let us know if you can join us.
