Yep they said it was
'difficult' but what I thought they meant was 'it's really easy and you don't need to train for it'. But no, they meant REALLY difficult. It was a great hike. We did the 30 miles in 15 HARD hours, split in two ~7 hour days. It was Dec 22/23, so daylight was limited and it got down to low 20's at night which was an experience all on its own. I highly recommend you try this trail, in the SUMMER!!!
Update: We went back and did it again in the summer this time, and it was so crowded it really wasn't fun at all. The cold sucks, but it's way better to experience this trail in the winter when you're not being trampled by 1,000 other hikers.
